Visiting China
We visited Beijing this summer and saw Xinhua University, the Ancient Observatory, the Great Wall, the Palace Museum, and other notable spots. Everyone seemed hard at work to get the city spruced up for the upcoming 2008 summer Olympic games.
The man in this photo was standing still, almost treelike, so I stood with him to show solidarity. We did not speak to each other but I think he felt my respect for those who aspire to the fir lifestyle.
